Job Description
Soar Autism Center is hiring for an Early Intervention Specialist to be part of our transformative team dedicated to fostering the development of children with autism. As a care provider at our center, you will apply behavioral and developmental strategies to assist in our children's development. In turn, you will teach skills that provide a critical foundation for a child's growth and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide attentive one-on-one care and behavioral/developmental support to children aged 2-6, emphasizing a nurturing and encouraging environment
• Implement care plans under the guidance of our clinical team, ensuring they are suitable for the learning and growth of children
• Build relationships with children's families
What the job is like:
• Plusses: Meaningfully impact children's growth, clear paths for career advancement, purpose-led organization, multi-disciplinary team
• Challenges: Can be demanding at times working with children, some routine care like diaper changes
Qualifications:
• Interest in and experience working with children - we are open to a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences in working with with kids
• Preference given to those currently in a degree program or holding a degree
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality is essential
• Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods of time, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client
