Is Hipa.ai legit?
Yes. Hipa.ai is operated by Botmakers LLC in the United States. Our trial listings are built from ClinicalTrials.gov via the AACT database and refreshed daily, and every study page cites the NCT number so you can check the source record yourself. We never charge patients, and we do not gate trial information behind a signup.
Where do the applicants come from?
Organic search. We publish a page for every recruiting study, city, condition and drug in the United States, and people find those pages by searching for a trial near them or for their condition. There is no purchased list and no incentivised traffic.
How does eligibility screening work?
The application asks the study's own inclusion and exclusion questions, derived from the protocol criteria on the registry record. The answers are read against those criteria and a verdict is attached to the applicant before it reaches your team, so you spend your screening calls on people who already fit.
What does it cost a research site?
Listing your studies, your site page, receiving applicants and the portal are free — your trials are public registry data and we index them either way. Paid options are sponsored placement and enrollment campaigns, which are sold per study, not per site. Talk to us if you want the details.
Do you sell applicants to anyone else?
An applicant who applies to your study is handed to your site. If they turn out not to fit that study, we may show them other trials they might qualify for — including your other studies first. We do not sell patient records as a list product.
How do you handle personal health information?
Applicant answers are stored in the United States and are visible to the research team the person applied to. Our public analytics and search-facing systems carry no identifying applicant data. If your institution needs a business associate agreement in place before receiving referrals, we can put one in place.
I'm a patient. Do I get paid for a clinical trial?
Many studies compensate participants for time and travel, and the amount is set by the study sponsor, not by us. Where a study states its compensation on the registry record, we show it. Trial participation is always voluntary and you can leave a study at any time.
I'm a patient. Does it cost anything to apply?
No. Applying through Hipa.ai is free, and you never need insurance to apply. Study-related care in a clinical trial is typically provided at no cost to participants — the study will tell you exactly what is covered before you consent to anything.
