Behavior Technician ABA
Job Type: Part-Time, hourly
Work Type: In person: Precise location or within a limited area
About the Role:
At Ocean Psychological Services, we are passionate about helping clients thrive through compassionate, high-quality ABA therapy. We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 support and implement individualized treatment plans. In this role, you’ll work closely with a supervising BCBA, make a direct impact on client growth, and be part of a team that values collaboration, professional development, and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy based on individualized client goals and treatment plans.
Collect, document, and analyze data during sessions to monitor client progress and guide treatment decisions.
Attend client team meetings, mandatory quarterly staff meetings, and professional development workshops.
Create and utilize instructional materials to support therapy goals.
Facilitate individual and small group social skills training sessions when appropriate.
Maintain timely communication, including checking and responding to company emails on business days.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (required).
Experience working with children, help kids learn.
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (preferred).
Prior experience or strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques (preferred).
Strong data collection, time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Must be able to provide a minimum of 15 hours of weekly availability between 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM (with flexibility to support weekend shifts if needed).
• Please note: Inability to meet this availability requirement will result in ineligibility for the position.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and actively engage during therapy sessions.
Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds as needed to support client activities.
Sufficient vision and hearing to monitor client safety and engagement.
