Job Description

t requires routine interface with patients and other clinical staff. The Phlebotomist Technician reports directly to the Director of Clinical Trials. The position facilitates the daily workflow for both Clinical Coordinators and Investigators.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Travel to multiple clinics
• Self-directed.
• Able to work independently with little supervision.

Excellent patient communication skills
• Medical Assistant Certification and/or experience in clinical setting is preferred.
• Computer skills such as Excel, Microsoft Word is preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performing venipuncture blood draws,
• Process blood work including centrifuging, packaging and shipping specimens.
• Follow up on lab reports / troubleshooting lab delays.
• Taking patient vital signs, rooming patients
• CLIA waived lab testing including UA, pregnancy testing and A1c.
• EKG’s, Spirometry, perform Accu-chek, POC.
• Handle incoming lab shipments, organize and maintains lab and exam rooms.
• Inventory all necessary equipment and supplies.
• Assist Coordinators & Investigators with organizing charts, file lab reports.
• Answer lab queries as necessary.
• Attend clinical study initiation visits and staff meetings as requested by management.
