Job Description

f you're the kind of therapist who believes therapy should happen where real life happens, we might have the perfect job for you.

We're looking for a Master's level therapist who is compassionate, flexible, motivated, and maybe just a little adventurous to work with youth and families across Valencia County including Belen, Los Lunas, Peralta, and Bosque Farms.

Yes, you can live in Albuquerque, but your work will take you out into the community helping families directly in their homes and neighborhoods.

This is not your typical office therapy job.

And honestly?

That's exactly why people love it.

What You'll Actually Be Doing
• Providing therapy in clients' homes and within the community.
• Working with youth ages 10–17 and their families navigating real-life challenges.
• Helping families tackle things like behavior issues, school struggles, substance use, and family conflict.
• Showing up where families need support kitchen tables, living rooms, schools, and community spaces.
• Collaborating with schools, courts, and community partners.
• Having real conversations that lead to real change.
• Managing a small caseload so you can focus on meaningful work.
• Participating in weekly supervision and expert lead consultation (no one gets thrown to the wolves here).
• Taking part in rotating crisis support when families need help outside normal hours.

Some days you'll be meeting with a family in Los Lunas, the next day helping a teen in Belen, and another day collaborating with a school in Peralta or Bosque Farms.

In other words...

Your office is wherever change is happening.

You’ll Love This Job If You
• Believe therapy should happen in the real world
• Prefer people and purpose over sitting at a desk all day
• Are flexible, creative, and comfortable thinking on your feet
• Care deeply about helping youth and families succeed
• Want your work to be challenging, meaningful, and impactful
• Teenage sarcasm
• Family chaos
• The occasional barking dog during a home visit

The Must-Haves
• Master's degree in a related field
• Active New Mexico license: LMHC, LMFT, LMSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, or LCSW (preferred but not required)
• Reliable transportation (you'll be traveling around Valencia County)
• Cultural competence and respect for diverse families
• Ability to work independently while staying connected to a team
• A willingness to learn and grow in the MST evidence-based model

What You Get (Besides a Seriously Rewarding Job)
• Flexible scheduling
• Small caseloads
• Monthly cell phone stipend
• Mileage reimbursementPaid sick leave
• Training in Multisystemic Therapy (MST) a gold‑standard model in behavioral health
• A team that actually supports you and wants you to succeed

And best of all?

You’ll get to see real change happen right in front of you.
