• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing
• Record vital signs, medical histories, and symptoms accurately
• Perform EKGs and other cardiology-specific diagnostic tests
• Administer injections as directed by the provider
• Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards
Qualifications:
• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum [1–2] years of experience in a cardiology or specialty clinic preferred
• Proficiency in EKG administration and cardiac monitoring equipment, preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, especially cardiovascular terms, preferred
• Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and respect in all workplace interactions
• Maintains strict confidentiality and contributes to a positive, team-oriented environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration and patient-centered care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
