Qualifications

  • Can you provide consistent support to children who rely on routine and structure?
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ideal related work experience includes (but is not limited to) childcare, daycare, special education, classroom aide, direct support specialist, therapeutic support specialist, behavior technician, autism support specialist, pediatric, home health aide, youth counselor, social work, mental health tech, and paraprofessional
  • Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills are essential
  • Must be professional and have a strong work ethic
  • Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel between 15-60+ miles to client homes is required
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Responsibilities

  • As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing ABA therapy techniques to help them develop daily living, communication, and social skills
  • Engaging children in structured, play-based learning to encourage communication, independence, and problem-solving skills
  • Implementing behavior intervention strategies under the supervision of a BCBA to address and improve:
  • Language acquisition
  • Functional communication training
  • Social skills training
  • Daily living skills
  • Reducing maladaptive behaviors
  • Community safety skills
  • Tracking progress and collecting data to monitor each child’s improvements
