Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Behavior Technician to join our team of fun-loving, trustworthy, and dedicated behavior specialists.
Qualifications:
• Active Registered Behavior Technician certification
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in ABA, education, or psychology is required unless applicant has 2+ years of experience with excellent references
• Interest in a long-term career in ABA, education, or psychology
• Experience working with kids or teens (ages 2-18) who require behavior-related services (i.e., children with Autism, SLD, cognitive disabilities, language and social skill deficits, etc.)
• Experience supporting kids with social skills, self-regulation, communication skills, AAC, play skills, academics, executive functioning, and daily living skills
• Experience supporting kids with moderate-to-severe challenging behavior.
• Self-starter who can work independently in the field by developing appropriate and effective therapy strategies based on client’s treatment plan
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Ability to spend extended periods of time working with kids on the floor
• Strong clinical, administrative, and leadership skills
• Excellent judgment, decision-making, and communication skills
Responsibilities:
• Implement positive, applied behavior analytic interventions (i.e., DTT, NET, positive reinforcement, shaping, prompting and modeling, token economies, etc.) in accordance with client’s individualized treatment plan
• Work collaboratively with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) by identifying target skill areas, providing recommendations for program modifications, and updating goals as needed
• Create daily agendas with clients and identify relevant activities to support skill acquisition (i.e., play, reading books, social stories, modeling, DTT, etc.)
• Collect accurate data and complete comprehensive session notes daily, including all conversations with parents
• Develop and maintain a supportive relationship with clients and their families
• Communicate with parents in a timely fashion regarding last-minute schedule changes and general questions about therapy plans
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, SLPs, OTs, and PTs to ensure comprehensive care
• Advocate for client’s best interest
• Attend weekly one-on-one supervision meetings to review appropriateness of goals and therapy plans
• Manage schedule and be reliable for clients. We cannot provide substitutes at this time.
