Responsibilities of a Behavior Technician (BT):
• Behavior Technicians provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children with autism
• Behavior Technicians accurately collect and document behavioral data
• Behavior Technicians follow behavior intervention plans created by BCBAs
• Behavior Technicians support daily living skills (ADLs) and promote independence
• Behavior Technicians safely manage and respond to challenging behaviors
Compensation & Schedule for Behavior Technician (BT):
• Behavior Technician hourly pay: $18–$23 (based on experience and certification)
• Full-time Behavior Technician position: 40 hours per week
• Flexible Behavior Technician schedule between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM
Qualifications for Behavior Technician (BT):
• No experience required to become a Behavior Technician (BT)
• Willingness to complete paid training and obtain RBT certification
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Passion for working with children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for Behavior Technicians
