Position Overview:
As the Senior Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in our dynamic team, responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data platforms and algorithms that drive groundbreaking insights into the field of medical research. You will work in close collaboration with imaging analysts, scientists, data and software engineers to develop and implement data analysis solutions and that advance scientific knowledge and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research Hypothesis Definition: Formulate and refine research hypotheses to extract meaningful insights from a vast medical imaging and measurements data lake.
• Data Exploration and Analysis: Conduct in-depth data exploration and analysis using advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
• Model Development and Evaluation: Build, train, and evaluate state-of-the-art machine learning models, including deep learning architectures, to address specific research questions and clinical challenges.
• AI/ML Solution Development: Contribute to the development and evaluation of AI/ML solutions that have a significant impact on clinical trials with relevant metrics.
• Cloud Operations: Collaborate with cloud engineers to deploy and manage machine learning models in a scalable and efficient cloud environment.
• Mentorship and Collaboration: Provide guidance and mentorship to other scientists in the team and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in Python programming, common machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Experience in conducting independent research and publishing scientific papers.
• Expertise in big data technologies, including Lakehouse architectures, Trino, Data Bricks Delta, efficient querying and distributed computing.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, identify solutions, and communicate findings effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred qualifications:
• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• A solid understanding of medical imaging and measurements data, including relevant clinical concepts and methodologies.
• Excellent knowledge of main branches of AI (GenAI, DL, ML, RL)
• Experience with Cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, MLFlow and Argo.
