Responsibilities
• Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to support clients’ developmental goals
• Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, feeding, and other essential self-care tasks
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
• Support clients during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and positive environment that encourages learning and growth
• Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and team members to provide updates on progress and address concerns
Skills
• Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA)
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder
• Proficiency in assisting with ADLs and implementing behavior management strategies
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards
• Ability to collect detailed data accurately during therapy sessions for ongoing assessment
• Excellent teaching skills combined with patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
• Familiarity with special education practices and behavioral health concepts
