Job Description

As an Outpatient Therapist, you will work in a virtual role within our traditional outpatient counseling clinic. In this outpatient behavioral health setting, you will meet with individuals and families seeking support for a wide range of behavioral health concerns.

Using secure video and audio technology, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose psychological conditions, and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions remotely. You will provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing concerns including anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, eating disorders, and addiction.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults across a wide range of behavioral health concerns, including anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, eating disorders, and addiction.
• Utilize evidence-based treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), with flexibility to adapt sessions to individual needs.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and other team members.
• Actively monitor progress and document clinical interventions effectively in our electronic health record system.
• Build and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with patients, promoting trust and positive outcomes.
• Educate and empower patients with skills to manage their symptoms and improve their overall well-being.
• Actively participate in supervision where required based on your licensure and state regulations.
• Independently manage your caseload while contributing to a collaborative clinic environment.
• Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Adapt to and thrive in a dynamic and constantly evolving healthcare environment.
• Complete all documentation and charge entry after each visit.
• Communicate professionally and accurately.
• Demonstrate strong interdisciplinary approach, facilitating effective communication among departments.
• Conduct self in a professional manner.
• Provide for patient safety and the safety of the facility.
• Additional duties as assigned or applicable responsibilities and expectations as listed in job description of position held at Rogers Behavioral Health
• Submit encounter reconciliation monthly or as requested.

Additional Job Description

Education/Training Requirements:
• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field, from an accredited school of Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Family Therapy with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in health care and experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting, preferred.
• Full, independent licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Ph.D./Psy.D., or equivalent in state practicing, i.e. LPCC, LMHC.
• Working knowledge of therapeutic intervention and techniques for all age groups, as well as the dynamics of human growth and behavior.
• Familiarity with and proficiency in evidence-based treatment approaches, particularly CBT, DBT, and MI.
• American Heart Association CPR certification within thirty (30) days of hire. Bi-annual re-certification is required.
• Training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) within sixty (60) days of hire/transfer. Annual re-certification is required.
• Attend all mandatory in-services and other in-services relevant to the position. Be responsible for all educational requirements and related obligations pertaining to the license of the program/unit license regulatory requirements governing the program(s).
• Must be in good standing with Rogers Behavioral Health and have a reference from your supervisor to participate in this program
