Job Summary
The School Clinician assumes a caseload and provides therapeutic clinical support (individual and/or group counseling, crisis intervention) for students enrolled in a school program. The School Clinician also provides support to the student’s family by providing assessment, coordinating required resources, and working with other health care team members. The School Clinician may also collaborate with public school system to deliver IEP (Individual Education Plan) services.

Responsibilities

• provides therapeutic clinical support (individual and/or group counseling, crisis intervention) for students enrolled in a school program
• provides support to the student’s family by providing assessment
• coordinating required resources
• working with other health care team members
• collaborate with public school system to deliver IEP (Individual Education Plan) services

Requirements
• Master’s Degree in Social Work, or Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy or Related Human Service Field.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
• LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist.
• Current Certification as CT State Department of Education (school psychologist, school social worker, school counselor or equivalent certification) or eligible to meet this requirement within 6 months of hire.

Nice-to-haves
• 3 years Clinical training or work in a therapeutic school environment.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English.
