Required Certifications & Qualifications
Licensed in the state of Connecticut Department of Health as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Preferred Qualifications
• Substantial experience working in a public school setting
• Experience in providing professional development to staff
• Demonstrated strength in positive and proactive approaches to working with students and families
Essential Skills, Knowledge Performance Abilities
• Conduct various assessments including Functional Behavior Assessments
• Design and oversee implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
• Train and supervise Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavior Technicians
• Design and manage appropriate data collection systems
• Oversee in-district development and implementation of behavior management plans
• Collaborate with school and district staff to develop and strengthen Autism programming
• Develop individualized student programs
• Maintain program data, including graphs of student progress on program targets
• Provide training to school staff and parents on a regular basis
• Participate in team and PPT meetings
• Provide written progress updates and complete IEP progress reporting
• Ensure that data is collected and analyzed with fidelity
• Adhere to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code set forth by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board: https://www.bacb.com/ethics/ethics-code/
Additional Duties
Perform all other duties that may be assigned by the Interim Director of Special Education and Pupil Personnel Services and/or the Building Administrator
Terms of Employment
• Monday - Thursday 8:45am - 12:15pm
• Staff should be available for the full program period
• Pay rate in accordance with contractual agreement
