Job Description
nd activities for children with developmental disabilities in order to improve social and cognitive functions · Encourage the child’s participation in in goal-orientated activities · Work closely with families to provide information and skills necessary to enhance the development of the child · Work with families and other service providers to achieve a child’s IFSP or EIP goals · Provide services in home, school-based and daycare centers · Daily data collection · Maintain regular progress reports and attend meetings related to the child
Requirements:
· Certified in New York State as a Teacher of:· Special Education· Students with Disabilities Birth-2
OR
· LMSW / LCSW / RN's· Strong time management and organizational skills · Good technical skills and the ability to learn new databases
Preferred:
· Bilingual a plus · Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis and Special Instruction preferred but will train · Experience working in home-based programs, schools or daycares
