Job Description

Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Therapist / Registered Behavior Technician (BT/RBT), where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, through evidence-based behavioral interventions. Responsibilities
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, and toileting, to enhance their independence.
• Collect and record accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and responses during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
• Support children and individuals with autism in educational settings by applying behavioral strategies and teaching new skills.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop and update individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
• Foster a positive, engaging environment that encourages learning, growth, and emotional well-being for clients of all ages.

Skills
• Strong understanding of Behavioral Therapy techniques and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder.
• Proficiency in assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and implementing behavior management strategies.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance related to patient care.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data accurately to track client progress effectively.
• Excellent teaching skills combined with patience, empathy, and strong communication abilities.
• Familiarity with special education practices and behavioral health concepts to support diverse learning needs.
