Job Description
tered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. As an RBT, you will work directly with individuals on the autism spectrum and other developmental disorders, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in providing support and education to clients and their families, fostering positive behavioral changes and enhancing quality of life.
Responsibilities:
• Independently visit client's homes to provide ABA therapy, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans, as directed by the supervising BCBA.
• Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals.
• Assist in developing care plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate clients and their families about behavioral therapy techniques and strategies.
• Utilize medical terminology appropriately when discussing client care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
• Provide ongoing support to clients during therapy sessions, promoting engagement and participation.
Requirements:
• Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required. Must have valid, current RBT certification and a registered NPI number.
• Prior experience providing ABA therapy to children with autism and/or other developmental challenges required.
• Must be able to work independently and comfortable working in client's homes.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel a minimum of 30 minutes to client's homes.
• Must be flexible and open to working one weekend day, as needed.
• Education in special education or related fields is preferred.
• Strong skills in data collection and analysis related to behavioral therapy.
• Familiarity with medical documentation practices and terminology.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals on the autism spectrum and other developmental challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for educating clients and families.
• A compassionate approach to working with individuals with diverse needs.
• Must participate in and pass a background check.
