Job Description

The Behavior Technician will collaborate with licensed clinicians to deliver patient-centered care in a supportive and professional environment. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles. Collect and record accurate data on patient behaviors and progress during therapy sessions. Assist with patient assessments, intake procedures, and diagnostic evaluations under supervision. Support patients in developing communication, social, and daily living skills through structured activities. Maintain detailed medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide patient care that promotes safety, comfort, and engagement during therapy sessions. Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, special education, and medical terminology to enhance service delivery. Adhere to all privacy policies and confidentiality standards related to medical records and patient information. Qualifications Experience with behavioral therapy, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA), is highly desirable. Prior work with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred. Knowledge of medical documentation, patient assessment, and diagnostic evaluation processes. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records. Strong communication skills for working effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to collect data accurately and follow detailed treatment protocols. Compassionate attitude with a commitment to patient care and support for individuals with disabilities. Background in special education or behavioral health is a plus.
