Job Description

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. This position primarily supports an Afterschool Program in partnership with Downey Unified School District. The BCBA will design, implement, and evaluate behavior analysis interventions and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, and other behavioral challenges. The BCBA will work closely with clients, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote positive behavior change and improve the overall quality of life. The BCBA will also manage paraeducators and conduct orientations and training.

Act as the liaison between BEAM and community/district partners by collaborating with district behavioral teams to understand individual student behavior plans and communicate those plans to appropriate community/district partner staff and BEAM staff.

Promote staff and community relationships that are in the best interest of the students, BEAM, and its community partners.

Conference with staff and community partners concerning problems of student adjustment.

Assist programs in curriculum development, curriculum implementation, and instructional improvement for behavioral programming.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that target specific behaviors and promote positive behavior change.

Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and modify treatment plans as needed.

Provide leadership and guidance to a team of behavior aides and other professionals working with clients with developmental disabilities.

Conduct orientations and training for paraeducators to ensure their understanding of behavior intervention plans, ABA principles, and best practices.

Master’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology, or a related field.

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, and/or other behavioral challenges.

Strong knowledge of behavior analysis principles and techniques, including functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention planning.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in behavior analysis.

Job Type: Full-Time | Salary: $85,000 - $95,000/yr
