Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavioral Technician (BT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disorders, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is essential in providing support to families and helping children achieve their behavioral goals through structured programs.

Responsibilities
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the BCBA.
• Assist in the collection and documentation of data on client progress and behavior changes.
• Educate clients and families on behavior management strategies and techniques.
• Provide support in developing care plans tailored to each child's specific needs.
• Work collaboratively with other professionals, including special education teachers and therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation as required by company policies.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.

Skills
• Strong understanding of behavioral health principles, particularly in working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
• Experience working with children in educational or therapeutic settings is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in applied behavior analysis methods and techniques for effective behavior management.
• Ability to assist in developing and implementing care plans that address individual needs.
• Excellent communication skills for educating clients, families, and team members effectively.
• Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate medical records and documentation.
• A compassionate approach towards children and their families, fostering a supportive environment for growth and learning.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Child Development Background
• Basic ABA procedures and interventions.
• Ethical and professional code of conduct as specified by the BACB.
• Work history working with children
• RBT License and good standing with the board

Experience Preferred:
• Behavioral Therapy or Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
• Experience working with individuals with Autism and other developmental Disabilities
• Previous experience with Central Reach data collection a plus, not required
• Bilingual a plus but not required
