Job Description

Location: Santa Cruz
Schedule: Monday–Friday, M/W/F, or T/Th | Typically 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

About the Opportunity

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) play a key role in supporting students through evidence-based behavioral interventions in school settings. This position focuses on implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, collaborating with educators, and helping students build critical skills for success.

Key Responsibilities
Student Support & Intervention
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to support student success
• Work directly with students using ABA techniques to reduce challenging behaviors and increase skill acquisition
• Collect and track behavioral data to measure progress and inform interventions
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support classroom behavior management

Collaboration & Communication
• Partner with supervisors and BCBAs to ensure effective service delivery
• Communicate student progress, challenges, and updates clearly and consistently
• Support a positive, team-oriented environment within school settings

Work Environment & Support
• School-based schedule with consistent hours
• Monthly clinical support from a BCBA tailored to assignment needs
• Readily available supervisors for immediate support
• Ongoing professional development and mentorship
• iPad provided for work-related tasks

• Energetic, patient, and dependable
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Interest in careers in education, psychology, or behavioral health
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Must be 18+ years old
• Ability to lift/pull up to 50 lbs (with or without accommodation)
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance may be required
• Spanish-speaking is a plus (not required)

• Q8: Do you have reliable transportation and how far are you willing to commute from your home?
• Are you currently certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
