Role Description

This is a contract-based, on-site role for a Mental Health Specialist, located in Niagara Falls, NY. The individual in this role will provide direct mental health services, including individual, group, and family counseling. Key duties include conducting psychological assessments, developing treatment plans, managing cases, and conducting crisis interventions as needed. The Mental Health Specialist will collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to deliver effective interventions and achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications
• Proficiency in Mental Health Care and Mental Health with experience providing therapeutic support
• Strong knowledge of Psychology and an ability to apply evidence-based practices
• Skills in Case Management to effectively coordinate and monitor client care
• Experience in Crisis Intervention and addressing urgent mental health needs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trusting relationships
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
• Licensure or certification as a mental health professional in New York State (LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent) is required
• Experience working in community mental health or with diverse populations is a plus
