Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Upward Trend Academy, located in New Smyrna Beach, FL. The RBT will work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior intervention plans, monitor and document client progress, and support skill acquisition programs. Daily tasks include data collection, conducting therapy sessions, assisting clients in developing life skills, and collaborating with families to promote a consistent approach across environments. Maintaining a compassionate, professional, and client-focused demeanor is essential to this role.
Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and methods
• Experience in behavior intervention, implementing therapy plans, and supporting skill development
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, families, and team members
• Attention to detail in documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records
• Active RBT certification and adherence to ethical guidelines outlined by the BACB
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with children and individuals with diverse needs
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
• Previous experience in working with individuals with developmental disabilities is strongly beneficial
