Qualifications

• Ability to work as a member of a team. Must be courteous and able to deal effectively with people, cooperative, congenial, and self-oriented.
• Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions, ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision, ability to read, write, and do simple computation.
• Ability to operate office equipment, use computer technology efficiently, be a proficient typist, and know how to format business correspondence/reports.
• Valid PA driver's license; this position will require travel to classrooms/programs throughout Montgomery County
• Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide consultation to teachers and to program supervisors in observing students presenting management problems and in taking baseline data on their behavior.
• Provide consultation to teachers and the program supervisor in selecting and developing appropriate data collection techniques.
• Develop written descriptions of behavior programs for specific students.
• Provide consultation to teachers and the program supervisor in developing behavior management programs for both specific students and the classroom milieu.
• Assist teachers in making IEP revisions when they are necessary in order to implement a behavior modification program.
• Attend IEP meetings with parents along with the teachers and the program supervisor to discuss behavior modification programs.
• Instruct staff members in the use of passive restraint techniques and assist teachers in applying these techniques when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Administrator(s).

Location:

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 10 months (194 days/year)

2025-2026 Salary

Bachelor's, Step 1: $53,997/year

Master's, Step 1: $65,007/year
• Placement on salary schedule based on experience and/or education beyond the Master's Degree.

Responsibilities

  • The Behavior Analyst develops behavior management programs for students with classroom staff and the program supervisor that meet the needs of students from various backgrounds, including students who have experienced school failure, students identified as in need of special education and students with severe behavioral and emotional challenges
