Job Overview
Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing employee relations, personnel matters, and human resources operations within the organization. This role serves as a key resource for managers and employees regarding workplace policies, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, performance management, and compliance with employment laws. The Human Resources Manager promotes a positive, professional, and productive work environment while ensuring fair and consistent personnel practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations & Personnel Management
· Address and resolve employee concerns, complaints, and workplace conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
· Conduct investigations related to personnel issues, policy violations, harassment claims, and employee misconduct.
· Provide guidance to supervisors and employees on company policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Support managers with employee coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
· Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive employee information and investigations.
Human Resources Operations
· Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
· Manage employee records, documentation, and HR reporting requirements.
· Oversee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes.
· Coordinate employee leave administration, attendance tracking, and workplace accommodations.
Performance & Organizational Development
· Assist in performance evaluation processes and employee development initiatives.
· Recommend strategies to improve employee engagement, morale, and retention.
· Support training programs related to workplace conduct, compliance, and leadership development.
· Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
Recruitment & Staffing
· Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and workforce planning as needed.
· Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and organizational goals.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
· Minimum of 3–5 years of human resources or employee relations experience.
· Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and personnel management.
· Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
Preferred Skills
· SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or similar HR certification preferred.
· Experience conducting workplace investigations and managing personnel issues.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment
· Office-based environment with regular interaction with employees and management.
· Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required for urgent personnel matters or organizational needs.
