Job Description
Make a meaningful impact working as an Autism Specialist with a primary focus on pediatric settings. This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to support students near Round Rock, TX. Working full-time onsite, youll put your expertise to work in a collaborative school environment, helping young individuals navigate the challenges of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and reach their full potential. This role is open to travel professionals seeking new experiences.
Key Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in a relevant field required; LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) preferred
• At least 3 years of experience working with adults with ASD, including those without intellectual disabilities
• Proven background addressing mental health, sensory processing, executive functioning, and socialization challenges related to ASD
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable working onsite in a school setting
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide direct support and intervention to students with ASD, focusing on their individual needs and strengths
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement effective strategies for success in academics and social interactions
• Conduct assessments and create tailored plans that address sensory, executive functioning, and emotional regulation challenges
• Deliver consultations, workshops, and guidance to school staff regarding best practices in supporting students with autism
• Maintain thorough documentation and data on student progress
