Duties
• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and enhance quality of life.
• Implement treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, ensuring adherence to care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Provide therapy services in diverse settings such as geriatrics, pediatrics, inpatient, and outpatient environments.
• Utilize knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support patient rehabilitation effectively.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes using appropriate medical terminology.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and support occupational health initiatives.
• Engage in medical imaging procedures as needed to assist in patient assessments.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in occupational therapy practices.

Requirements
• Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities or acute care settings is preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to apply anatomy knowledge in practice.
• Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans for diverse patient populations, including geriatrics and pediatrics.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
