Job Description

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst's service will be District-wide

Function
To provide a full range of behavior analytical services, including both consultative and direct services, based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. The BCBA assists in the development of appropriate behavioral and instructional interventions, providing support for both instructional staff and students.

Qualifications

New Jersey Certification for Board Certified Behavior Analyst required

Training in behavior analysis preferred

A graduate degree is required from an accredited college or university

Passing score on the BCBA examination

Must pass N.J. Criminal History Review Unit fingerprinting requirement.

New Jersey state residency requirements for public school employees in effect.

Responsibility
Directly responsible to the Director of Special Services

Performance of Duties

Conducts Functional Behavioral Assessments

Develops individualized behavior plans (goals, objectives, and interventions)

Develops social skills groups and interventions (goals and objectives)

Trains school personnel on all intervention plans

Assists the educational staff in implementing behavioral programming, both individually and in the classroom.

Review data on all intervention plans and write progress notes

Assist in monitoring interns in FBAs and the application of behavior plans

Advises and consults with the family and other agency personnel, as needed.

Participates in in-service programs and presents in-service programs as assigned.

Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures

Maintains current CPI certification or other Restraint certification

Performs other duties as assigned
