Board‑certified behavior analysts create individualized intervention plans using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles; the behavior technician implements these plans with caregivers and supervisors to achieve desired outcomes.

• 1:1 intervention services based on ABA principles for children 18 months to 12 years.
• Assist in restructuring factors and activities to reduce maladaptive behaviors.
• Teach skills that improve communication and functional effectiveness.
• Review behavior plans and instructional materials developed by board‑certified behavior analysts and/or licensed clinical psychologists.
• Facilitate consistent implementation of the behavior plan and monitor outcomes.
• Implement behavioral procedures to acquire replacement skills and reduce problematic behaviors.
• Collect data on child progress and document session notes related to the intervention plan.
• Communicate openly with behavior analysts, regional coordinators, and scheduling staff.
Qualifications
• A high school diploma and minimum age of 18.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Board‑Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) certification.
• Valid active Autism Technician Certificate Number (BCAT or RBT) with BICC or BACB.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, early childhood education/development, or related field; or near completion of such a degree (preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication, time management, organizational skills, and problem‑solving ability.
• Bilingual skills are preferred.
• Completion of all Emerging Milestones training requirements.
• Proven ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or other developmental disabilities.
• Clear FBI/DOJ background check.
• Proof of negative TB, MMR, and Varicella vaccinations or titers.
• Completion of CPR/First Aid training (provided by Emerging Milestones).
• Experience working with children, preferably with special needs.
• Physical competence/health screening required.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, up to 6–8 hours a day.
• Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting to observe, assess, and interact with clients.
• Occasional sitting and maintaining close visual attention to write reports and use a computer.
• Ability to physically implement behavior management strategies and respond to aggressive behavior.
• Frequent driving to and from office and client homes.
• Possible occasional lifting of toys and materials up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent exposure to disability disorders in clients.
