Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in McAllen, TX, for a Psychotherapist in Private Practice. The Psychotherapist will provide individual and family therapy sessions, conduct psychological evaluations, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with clients to achieve therapeutic goals. Working with diverse populations, including those facing immigration-related psychological challenges, is a key element of this role. The candidate will support the mental health and well-being of clients while maintaining professional and ethical standards.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in Psychology and Mental Health practices, with an understanding of principles and methods for diagnosis and treatment.
• Skills in Counseling and Relationship Counseling to address a variety of individual and family dynamics.
• Knowledge in Medicine as it relates to psychological and emotional well-being and treatment.
• Ability to work ethically and responsibly with clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds; fluency in Spanish is a plus.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), LPC-Associate, and LMSW (based on hours completed for independent licensure).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity for empathy and understanding.
• Experience in conducting psychological evaluations and writing detailed reports is highly desirable.
