Job Description
Professional Education License (PEL) with an endorsement in Speech Language Pathology.
• ASHA CCC's highly recommended
• A valid license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations (IDFPR) in the area of Speech Language Pathology
• Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding special education and speech language pathology including procedures for assessment and treatment of communicaiton disorders
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Ability to case manage speech only students by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, parents, teachers, staff, etc.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assess and treat a variety of communication disorders including, but not limited to, articulations, phonology, receptive language, expressive language, fluency, voice, feeding/swallowing, etc.
• Write and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Work collaboratively with staff to accomplish students' IEP goals
• Use best practice therapy techniques to assist the students to achieve their goals
• Maintain sufficient data to support progress and growth of students toward their documented goals
• Educate teachers, staff, and parents regarding the role of the Speech Language Pathologist
• Follow and implement specific district policies and procedures
• Adheres to the ethical standards and codes of the profession and to the established rules, regulations, and laws governing special education
• Perform other duties as assigned

Benefits
- •COMPENSATION: $125.00 per day for the first ten (10) days, and $150.00 per day for each day thereafter
Responsibilities
- •GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Speech Language Pathologists are expected to provide therapy for students who exhibit special education needs in the areas of language, speech, voice, fluency, and feeding/swallowing in order to help students meet their educational needs
- •Assess and treat a variety of communication disorders including, but not limited to, articulations, phonology, receptive language, expressive language, fluency, voice, feeding/swallowing, etc
- •Write and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- •Work collaboratively with staff to accomplish students' IEP goals
