Job Description
lifications:
• Must complete a criminal background check through the Alabama State Department of Education at your own expense.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and write an Individual Education Plan (IEP) for each student enrolled in the speech and language program.
• Select or prepare materials and supplies for program implementation including therapy, classroom, and home activities.
• Sequence activities appropriately.
• Plan educationally relevant therapy.
• Establish schedules for delivery of services.
• Prepare reports and interpret state standards for program eligibility.
• Prepare and maintain audit files on students in the speech/language program.
• Establish and maintain a positive, organized and safe learning environment.
• Establish and use behavior management techniques which are appropriate and effective.
• Manage materials and equipment effectively.
• Communicate with parents/guardians, colleagues, and community groups.
• Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication.
• Maintains and submits records and reports.
• Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policy, and state and federal rules and regulations.
• Engages in personal and professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics and leadership.
• Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

- •Salary: Based on salary schedule for 187 days
- •FLSA Status: Exempt

- •Evaluation: The performance of this job will be evaluated per provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of personnel
