Job Description

Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

General Description

The mission of Metrocare is to serve our neighbors with developmental and mental health challenges by helping them find lives that are meaningful and satisfying. Our agency is committed to quality individualized, trauma‑informed care for individuals experiencing mental illness, developmental disabilities, and co‑occurring disorders. Metrocare programs focus on the issues that matter most in the lives of children, families, and adults that we serve.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide assessments and evaluations for individuals served, including but not limited to Basic Language and Learning Skills Assessment, Verbal Behavior Milestone Assessment, and Placement Program.
• Develop clear behavior‑reduction plans based on the hypothesized function of challenging behavior.
• Develop skill‑acquisition programs and targets based on results of skill assessment.
• Analyze data and monitor intervention plans.
• Implement, monitor, and adjust intervention plans hands‑on.
• Provide mandatory parent and caregiver training to families enrolled in the program.
• Train staff to the Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who implement the behavioral treatment.
• Provide clinical training, supervision, and tracking to ensure RBT staff maintain the RBT credential.
• Participate in treatment‑plan meetings, ARD meetings, and other planning meetings.
• Update skills assessments every 6 months (VB‑MAPP) and enter data into the tracking spreadsheet.
• Submit reauthorization of treatment in a timely manner in accordance with the child’s funding source.
• Communicate with the Program Manager regarding concerns and suggestions to foster continuous improvement.
• Model courteous and professional interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Deliver 24 hours of billable service per week.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis or a related field with emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis.
• Minimum of one year experience delivering ABA to the autism population.
• Experience working with children ages 3 to 12.
• Experience with autism‑specific ABA/PBS program development and training.
Skills

Mathematical Skills
• Basic math skills required for this position.
• Ability to work with reports and numbers.
• Ability to calculate moderately complex figures and amounts accurately.

Reasoning Ability
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple or two‑step instructions.
• Ability to handle standardized situations with occasional or no variables.

Computer Skills
• Use of computer, printer, and software programs necessary for the position (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to utilize the Internet for resources.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
• Current Texas driver license or license in another state, with Texas license obtained within 3 months of employment.
• Liability insurance required for use of personal or center vehicle.
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Licensed Board Analyst (LBA) with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations.
• Bi‑annual CPR training and annual SAMA training.
