Research Study Participants Wanted — Fremont Area (Paid, 40–80)
San Francisco Research Institute
$150 total compensation for study completion
Job Description
For East Bay residents in Fremont and nearby, joining this study means a paid research opportunity with a modest travel commitment. The San Francisco Research Institute, where visits are held, is about 35 miles from Fremont; participants usually drive via I-880 and the bridges, or take BART toward the Daly City station near the site. Completing the study is compensated $150.
The study is asking whether Sabroxy®, a once-daily botanical supplement, can help with two connected challenges of mid-life and beyond: mild memory changes and insulin resistance, where blood sugar runs higher than it should. It runs eight weeks and is randomized and placebo-controlled, so each participant receives either the supplement or an inactive capsule by chance.
Across three visits, the study team measures insulin resistance from fasting blood work and evaluates memory and attention with short standardized exercises. Participation is voluntary and is not employment.
Adults 40 to 80 who are non-smokers, have noticed some decline in memory or focus, and have a history of high blood sugar are encouraged to find out whether they are eligible through a screening visit.
You may be eligible if you
- •Are 40 to 80 and live in Fremont or the southern East Bay
- •Are a non-smoker
- •Have mild, noticeable memory or focus changes
- •Have elevated blood sugar or insulin resistance
- •Can attend three visits in San Francisco over eight weeks
