Job Description
Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Part-Time Behavioral Therapist in the area, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with autism. Duties
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), fostering independence and self-care skills
• Implement individualized behavior plans using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behaviors
• Collect and record data on client progress accurately to inform treatment adjustments
• Support clients during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and engaging environment
• Collaborate with team members to develop, review, and update care plans tailored to each client’s needs
• Maintain confidentiality of medical records and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times
• Use medical terminology appropriately when documenting progress notes and reports
Requirements
• Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, special education, or working with children with developmental disabilities preferred
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior management strategies
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with autism and other developmental challenges
• Strong skills in data collection, documentation, and medical record keeping
• Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills for working with clients, families, and team members
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining privacy of sensitive information
• Flexibility to work part-time hours that may include afternoons, evenings, or weekends as needed
