Job Description

Conduct individual and group counseling sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and DBT Therapy.
• Provide crisis intervention and management for clients in distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Engage in motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients' personal growth and development.
• Facilitate family counseling sessions, addressing dynamics that impact mental health.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including ICD-10 coding.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients with complex needs, including those with developmental disabilities.
• Provide telehealth services as needed, adapting therapeutic approaches for virtual environments.
• Offer support for patients dealing with grief, PTSD, addiction, or behavioral challenges through specialized counseling techniques.

Skills
Candidates should possess a diverse skill set that includes:
• Proficiency in psychotherapy techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Crisis Management, and Behavioral Therapy.
• Experience working with children, families, and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
• Familiarity with mental health terminology, patient assessment protocols, and medical records management.
• Knowledge of special populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals facing gender and spiritual issues.
• Strong background in case management and direct support services within inpatient or outpatient settings (helpful, not required).
• Ability to conduct intake assessments effectively, in addition to providing accurate diagnoses, while ensuring compliance with relevant coding practices (ICD coding).
• Experience in group therapy settings and providing clinical counseling tailored to individual needs.
