Clinical Psychologist/Pediatric Neuropsychologist (contract)

les south/southwest of downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul and provides needed psychological services to both suburban and urban communities.

The Position

To provide comprehensive psychological services to children and adolescents with various developmental, psychological, and medical disorders including fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, chronic illness, learning disorders, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders and other neurodevelopmental and emotional/behavioral issues.

Position entails executing in-depth evaluations, written and oral feedback to families, related providers, and schools regarding test results and recommendations for treatment and educational planning. Focus is placed on both intervention and assessment, as well as providing consultation to health practitioners and parents in regard to behavioral management and parent/child relationship issues.

This is a contract position, so flexibility in scheduling is available, including Saturday options for clinic.

Job Duties
• Provide psychological assessment of children in outpatient settings.
• Provide supportive communication with family members, school, and other professionals involved in the child’s care.
• If desired, may provide individual and family therapy.
• Collaboratively work as a positive, constructive team member.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Position requires a Ph.D./PsyD in clinical psychology, counseling, or school psychology from an APA and/or CPA accredited program and internship training. A post-doctoral fellowship is desirable, but not required.
• Applicants must be license-eligible in the state of Minnesota.
• Interest in addressing the problems of behavior, child development, coping with illness, and learning issues.
• Additionally, excellent organizational skills, strong oral and written communication skills and computer proficiency are required.
• This individual must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
