Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Duties
• Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or other licensed professional
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, and hygiene routines
• Collect and record data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment plans
• Support teaching and skill development through structured activities tailored to each individual’s needs
• Help maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in behavior management techniques and intervention strategies
• Foster a safe, supportive environment that encourages positive behavior change and emotional well-being
Skills
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, documentation practices, and HIPAA compliance
• Ability to collect, analyze, and report data accurately for progress tracking
• Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and team members
• Patience, compassion, and a proactive attitude toward teaching and care delivery
• Familiarity with special education practices and behavior management strategies
