Position Summary

The Group Therapist works closely with the Clinical Team to support individualized treatment plans for adolescents. Responsibilities include facilitating therapeutic groups, providing direct client care and supervision, and contributing to a structured and safe residential setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate process groups, psychoeducation groups, and structured clinical activities

• Provide direct care, supervision, and one-to-one therapeutic support

• Assist Primary Therapists with individual sessions, risk assessments, and documentation

• Monitor client behavior, peer dynamics, and overall safety

• Utilize de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques

• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation and incident reports

• Participate in treatment planning meetings, case conferences, and staff trainings

Supervision & Licensure Hours

• Supervision provided by a licensed clinician

• 100% of hours worked during scheduled shifts count toward BBS licensure requirements

Requirements

• Registered Associate with the California BBS (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC)

• Master’s degree in Behavioral Sciences or related field

• Minimum one year of related clinical experience or graduate-level training

• Experience working with adolescents preferred

• CBT experience required

• Group therapy experience (Process Groups, DBT, or Family Therapy) preferred

• Strong communication skills and professional boundaries

• Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license

• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
