What You’ll Do as an Autism Special Education Teacher
You’ll make a lasting difference every single day by:
• Design and deliver highly structured, individualized instruction tailored to each student’s needs
• Implement and monitor IEP goals focused on communication, social interaction, behavior, and daily living skills
• Use evidence-based practices such as visual supports, task analysis, prompting strategies, and reinforcement systems
• Support students with complex sensory, behavioral, and communication needs, including nonverbal learners
• Collect and analyze student data to guide instruction and measure progress
• Develop and implement behavior intervention strategies in collaboration with related service providers
• Create predictable routines and structured environments that promote student success
• Lead, coach, and collaborate with paraprofessionals to ensure consistency and effectiveness in the classroom
• Partner with families and multidisciplinary teams to support each student holistically

Includes a 6-week Extended School Year program (built into salary)
Salary
$69,754.89–$92,718 (based on experience and education)
$2,500 sign-on bonus
