epts is looking for individuals who are seeking an opportunity to work with children with special needs.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a type of therapy that focuses on improving specific behaviors, such as social skills, communication, reading, and academics as well as adaptive learning skills, such as fine motor dexterity, hygiene, grooming, domestic capabilities, punctuality, and job competence. ABA is effective for children and adults with psychological disorders in a variety of settings, including schools, workplaces, homes, and clinics. It has also been shown that consistent ABA can significantly improve behaviors and skills and decrease the need for special services
Not an RBT yet? Entry level positions are available and no experience is required! All necessary training is provided to you and we will pay for your RBT certification. ABA is a great opportunity for those wanting to help those who need it the most.

Qualifications:
Be in enrolled in a College/University studying psychology, education, or special education or pursuing a degree in a related field (preferred)
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
Must have either a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. (required)
Experience working with children with special needs is not required, but preferred
Position Requirements:
Ability to commute to clients in the Santa Barbara County area (remote positions not available)
Must have a reliable source of transportation
Must be available a minimum of 3 days a week, 8 hours per day
Must be able to use a tablet to collect data

Creativity and problem solving
Collaboration and teamwork
Position Details:
Deliver direct 1:1 services in the home or community to help increase skills, create learning opportunities, and decrease maladaptive behaviors
Follow behavior intervention plan to better understand a client’s needs and goals
Work closely with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Collect accurate data during session, and take detailed session notes once session has been completed
Training:
40-hour online training required for the Registered Behavior Technician exam
12 hours of overlap sessions with experienced staff
Supervisor support and feedback
