Practice Info
• Join a dynamic neurology team
• Provide neurological care to both outpatients and inpatients
• Participate in inpatient on-call duties at West Haven with section physicians in rotation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in clinical education and potentially research activities
Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive neurological care to patients with diverse conditions, including movement disorders
• Perform and interpret EMGs and nerve conduction studies
• Administer Botox injections for therapeutic indications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans
• Participate in clinical education and potentially research activities
• Participate in inpatient on-call duties at West Haven with section physicians in rotation
• Provide education to other physicians and healthcare professionals regarding neurological disorders and their treatments
• Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure patient safety, performance improvement, and quality of care
Compensation
• Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) - a student loan payment reimbursement program (up to $200,000)
• Competitive salary
• Annual performance bonus
• Regular salary increases
• Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement for CME (must be full-time with board certification)

• 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
• Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting)
• Federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

Shift & Schedule
• Monday-Friday 8am - 4:30pm
Requirements
• United States Citizenship
• Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree from a VA-approved school
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
• Completion of residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Board-certified or board-eligible in neurology
• Comfort with general neurology care
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination as required by VA Handbook 5019
