About the Role:
As a Therapist within the Health Care Services industry, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals and families through various mental health challenges and life transitions. Your primary objective will be to provide compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic interventions that promote addiction recovery, emotional well-being, and psychological resilience. You will work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs, including crisis intervention and anger management strategies. Through individual, group, and family therapy sessions, you will facilitate healing and growth, helping clients build coping skills and improve their overall quality of life. Ultimately, your work will contribute to fostering healthier communities by empowering clients to overcome mental health obstacles and achieve sustained recovery and personal development.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
• Valid state licensure or certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in addiction treatment and recovery counseling.
• Proficiency in conducting individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
• Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and mental health counseling principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Additional certification or training in specialized therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Experience working with diverse populations, including adolescents and families.
• Background in anger management and life transitions counseling.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.
• Continuing education in emerging mental health treatment modalities and addiction recovery approaches.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status, addiction history, and psychosocial needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating addiction treatment, psychotherapy, and counseling techniques.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address issues such as addiction recovery, anger management, and life transitions.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute emotional distress or mental health emergencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals and social workers, to coordinate holistic care and ensure continuity of treatment.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Stay current with best practices and emerging research in counseling psychology and mental health treatment.
