Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Project Assistant for the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research. The primary purpose of this position is to support a broad portfolio of mixed methods health services research with particular focus on mental health and addiction treatment services and outcomes.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:
• Performs primary data collection (e.g., surveys, interviews).
• Handles data management and analysis.
• Manages research administrative logisitcs for ongoing studies and literature reviews for academic manuscripts and abstracts.

Minimum Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field, public health, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant research experience.

Certifications/Licenses
• Social & Behavioral Research CITI Certification.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.
• Strong computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, REDCap survey software, and Zotero citation management software.
• Experience conducting or supporting research involving populations with mental illness and addiction.
• Ability to accurately record, maintain, and manage data in both computerized and non-computerized formats.
