Job Description
**Overview:**
The School Board of Pinellas County, Florida, is seeking a highly qualified Special Education Teacher to support students with autism at Forest Lakes Elementary. This is a 10-month, full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. **Responsibilities:**
• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with autism
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student
• Collaborate with colleagues and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive educational program
• Utilize research-based strategies and techniques to promote student learning and achievement
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and IEP goals
• *Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid Florida teaching certification in Special Education (autistic support)
• Experience working with students with autism and/or other special needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
