Rutgers University-Camden is seeking a Research Aide (Eligibility Program Specialist) for the Atlantic County Territory for CCR&R. Under the direction of the Site Manager, the Research Aide administers state and federal child care subsidies, data storage and documentation procedures, fiscal oversight, and daily eligibility processes including application review, eligibility determination, re‑determination, data entry, and termination of coverage. The incumbent manages continuous case management services and updates client cases for changes in income, family size, provider selection, and employment hours. The specialist supports high‑quality consumer education and may generate recoupments and complete related reports.
Minimum Education and Experience
Requires a high school or equivalent, two years of varied office experience, or college‑level study on a year‑for‑year basis. Must record and maintain data in computerized and non‑computerized formats, and have basic proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, database software and email.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Associate’s degree, or 1‑2 years of related experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to employ critical thinking independently.
• Ability to communicate and execute established plans and policies.
• Computer proficiency with a variety of software.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Program improvement strategies to recommend quality enhancements.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Familiarity with state/federal child care subsidy programs.
