Responsibilities
• Implement speech and language therapy programs as designed and directed by the supervising SLP.
• Complete accurate and timely SOAP notes following each therapy session, documenting client performance, progress toward goals, and clinical observations as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Work one-on-one with children to support communication goals.
• Prepare, organize, and adapt therapy materials and resources as needed.
• Support the development of speech, language, social communication, and play skills.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Ensure a safe, engaging, and positive therapy environment for all clients.
• Reports directly to a registered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
Requirements
• Completion of a Communication Disorder Assistant (CDA) diploma or equivalent post-secondary education in speech.
• Experience working with children with speech, language, or communication needs is an asset.
• Familiarity with developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or other exceptionalities is preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow therapy plans accurately and work effectively under supervision
• This position requires the employee to live within a reasonable commuting distance of the workplace
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour

- •This role supports the delivery of speech and language intervention services under the supervision of a registered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- •CDA/SLPA work directly with children to implement individualized communication programs designed to strengthen speech, language, social communication, and early literacy skills
