Responsibilities:
• Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by the BCBA to address target behaviors and skill deficits.
• Provide direct one-on-one therapy to clients in various settings, including homes, schools, clinics, and community settings.
• Collect accurate and reliable data on client progress and behavior using specified data collection methods.
• Assist in the development of individualized treatment goals and objectives based on client needs and assessment findings.
• Implement behavior reduction procedures and strategies to decrease challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior change.
• Provide ongoing feedback to the BCBA regarding client progress, concerns, and observations during therapy sessions.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards at all times.
• Collaborate effectively with other members of the interdisciplinary team, including parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals.
• Participate in regular supervision sessions with the BCBA to review client progress, discuss treatment strategies, and receive feedback.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Completion of a 40-hour training course in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and competency assessment.
• Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or special needs preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and collaborate as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various locations for client sessions.
• Commitment to upholding ethical standards and professional conduct in all interactions.
