This is an ideal opportunity for an SLP looking for flexibility, clinical variety, and a supportive team environment—without the limitations of contract therapy companies.
What You’ll Do
• Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide skilled therapy in cognitive-linguistic rehab, communication, and dysphagia management
• Treat across a long-term care (LTC) and skilled nursing population
• Complete timely documentation (evaluations, daily notes, discharges) using Net Health (or similar EMR)
• Collaborate with PT, OT, nursing, and interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients, families, and staff on safe swallowing and communication strategies
Patient Population
• Long-Term Care (LTC)
• Skilled Nursing (SNF)
• Cognitive / Behavioral Health
Requirements
• Active Florida SLP License (required)
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• ASHA CCCs preferred (CFs considered with support)
• SNF / LTC experience preferred but not required
• Experience with dysphagia and cognitive therapy strongly preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
