Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
-Assess, diagnosis, and prepare treatment plans that are clinically appropriate for the client(s).
- Provide 45-50 min individual, family or couples therapy in person or virtually.
- Complete proper clinical documentation within 24 hours of completing a session.
- Participate and engage in clinical supervision (1-2 hours weekly)
- Max caseload of 20 clients per week
Associate MFTs are required to have:
- Active CA BBS AMFT registration number
- An electronic device to provide telehealth appointments (smart phone, tablet, PC, or laptop)
- Stay current with any CA BBS requirements as an AMFT
- Provide your own malpractice insurance (1M/3M aggregate)
- Must be willing to commute to office for in-person sessions; video sessions are also provided to our clients if preferred
Illuminate Psychotherapy, Inc. provides:
- Assistance building caseload
- Clinical supervision and mentoring
- SimplePractice (electronic health record keeping)
- Administrative liaison between clients and Associates (i.e. handling referrals, scheduling appointments, billing etc.)
- Limited liability CPH insurance as a W-2 employee
- Worker’s Compensation insurance
- Office space for in-person appointments
- Paid sick leave
- Military leave
- Family medical leave
Associate MFT compensation $33-40/hr depending upon experience.
In a typical given work week, an Associate would have 10-20 clients, 1-2hrs of clinical supervision, 1-2 hours of clinical documentation time, and 1-2 hours for advocacy/treatment planning.
Hours worked would be dependent upon the Associates caseload.
Preferred specializations: EMDR, DBT, CBT, Gottman Couples Therapy
Preferred availability:
Monday through Friday 8am-8pm
Saturdays 8-12pm
